Register Now for HIV/AIDS Advocacy Day!
Are you worried about the future of funding for HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention programs in North Carolina—including funding for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program, which currently serves 6308 people in our state?
Are you frustrated that syringe possession is still illegal in our state, despite clear evidence that decriminalization of syringe possession actually decreases injection drug use and prevents the spread of HIV/AIDS?
Are you maddened by the ignorance and fear that many of our elected officials still have about HIV/AIDS?
Then sign up now to join us in Raleigh for the 2011 HIV/AIDS Advocacy Day on Wednesday, April 13th.
The North Carolina AIDS Action Network and the North Carolina Harm Reduction Coalition have teamed up to create an exciting event, including opportunities to learn the latest information about HIV/AIDS policies, to develop your advocacy skills, to share our stories with elected officials and education them on our issues, and to connect with fellow HIV/AIDS advocates from around the state. If you want to be part of this exciting day, please sign up now.
We need you there in order to reach our goal of bringing together over a hundred HIV/AIDS advocates from across the state to demonstrate widespread support for smart, sound HIV/AIDS policies, and to show our elected officials how much we value people living with HIV/AIDS. Please, register now to help us meet that goal.
We look forward to seeing you in Raleigh!
