As of April 7, 2011 there are:
- 4,362 individuals enrolled in ADAP.
- 146 individuals on the waiting list.
As of March 31, 2011 there were:
- 6,591 individuals enrolled in ADAP.
- 188 individuals on the waiting list.
The decrease in the number of individuals enrolled in ADAP and on the ADAP waiting list this week is a result of the end of the annual reauthorization period. The Ryan White/ADAP fiscal year runs from April 1 to March 31. Every year all clients enrolled in ADAP and on the ADAP waiting list are required to reauthorize (reapply for ADAP) if they continue to need medication coverage through ADAP or want to maintain their ADAP waiting list status. The Annual reauthorization period ended on March 31, 2011. Yesterday’s counts represent all clients who successfully reauthorized by the deadline, new clients added this week and applications submitted this week by clients who missed the reauthorization deadline.
The program remains open to enrollment for applicants with a net income at or below 125% of the federal poverty level.
According to NASTAD’s most recent ADAP Watch, released today, there are 11 states with waiting lists, totaling 7,900 people. That report shows NC as having 138 clients on the waiting list, which was our official count at COB on April 6, 2011. NASTAD’s most recent ADAP Watch can be found by following this link.
