NCAAN Seeks Campus Outreach Interns

The North Carolina AIDS Action Network (NCAAN) is looking for outstanding, outgoing, and observant Campus Outreach Interns at the following universities:
  • East Carolina University
  • Fayetteville State University
  • NC A&T University
  • NC Central University
  • UNC-Chapel Hill
  • UNC-Greensboro
We are looking for applicants with excellent interpersonal and verbal skills. The Intern will be responsible for recruiting volunteers, educating students about issues affecting people living with HIV/AIDS, and advancing NCAAN’s mission on campus. The intern will also support NCAAN's work with coalition partners and may participate in community events near their campus. The intern will report to the Community Organizer.

NCAAN welcomes internship applications from students who can make a minimum commitment of ten hours through the end of the semester or longer. Applicants should be committed to promoting responsible HIV-related policies and to fighting HIV-related stigma and underlying social inequalities including poverty, homophobia, racism, and sexism. We believe in designing internships to allow interns to advance their personal goals while helping NCAAN to meet our goals.

To apply, please send a cover letter discussing your relevant skills and experience, resume, and two references to andrew@ncann.org. Application deadline is Friday, March 2, 2012. Review will begin immediately.
